Donald O'Oneill - Co Chair


Donald O'Neill, is a lifetime resident of New London, CT. He attended both St. Mary Catholic School and New London High School, before receiving the B.A. from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Don has been in the hospitality industry for 30 years. His professional career has focused on law, finance and community. Prior to joining the Oasis Dance Collective, Don was, and still is, the president and owner of both J. & J. Leasing Co., Inc., and O'Neill's Brass Rail and SanXuari – a bar and dance club located in New London, CT. Don currently dedicates his time to entertainment activities that highlight members of his local community. Often hosting shows at his club, Don frequently invites member of Oasis to perform. He joined Oasis's Board in 2014.

Kenya Hutton - Chair


Kenya Hutton began working in HIV prevention over 12 years ago, starting at the Gay Men's Health Crisis, in New York City. Since then, he has been affiliated in some capacity with organizations such as Carl Vogel Center ,Us Helping Us, Center for Disease Control and Voices of One to name a few. He has been an advocate for HIV prevention both on a local and National level, brining awareness to LGBT young adults and members of House/Ball Community, receiving a number accolades from the House/Ball Community including The Dorian Corey Wisdom Award, The Michael J. Harrington Humanitarian Award from the Gay Men's Health Crises House of Latex Project and the Award of Excellence from the Washington DC Ballroom Coalition.

He has devoted his life's work to the betterment of the African American/ Caribbean community and supports the dream of eradicating the HIV virus and LGBT equality.

Kenya is part of many local and National groups, in which he represents the voices of those that are unheard.

The first born of 7 Children to Jamaican Parents. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, Kenya has called the DMV area his home for the past 6 years.
